Purpose and scope
MoneyMaths explains the arithmetic behind common borrowing, debt, budgeting and savings questions. Our calculators and guides are educational. They do not assess a reader's complete circumstances or recommend a financial product.
Who creates the content
Guides are published under the MoneyMaths name. AI tools assist with drafting and development. We do not present generated examples as personal experience, customer stories or research findings. No independent professional financial review is claimed.
Examples and calculation checks
Worked examples identify their main inputs and assumptions. The site uses automated regression checks for core calculator behavior, and the new guide examples are checked against formulas or the relevant calculation functions. These checks test arithmetic and selected behaviors; they do not certify the site, verify every possible input or validate a financial product.
Figures may differ from a provider's figures because of daily interest, timing, rounding, fees or terms outside our models. The methodology page explains important limitations. A preparation date describes work on an article, not a promise that external rates or rules are current.
Sources and boundaries
External references support specific explanations and are linked where used. Official consumer and investor education sources are preferred for factual background. A US reference is identified as such and does not establish the law or product rules in another country. Our hypothetical tables and scenarios are separate from those sources.
Corrections
If you find a problem, use the contact page and include the page address, input values, the result shown and why you think it is incorrect. Do not send account numbers, passwords or other sensitive information. A reproducible example makes an error easier to investigate. We do not promise a response time.

What we do not claim
